A low desert sun casts a warm glow on KC-135 Stratotankers deployed to Southwest Asia. The scene was captured by Master Sgt. Bob Lorenz during his recent deployment with other Airmen assigned to the 931st Air Refueling Group, a Reserve unit at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. More than 10 percent of the Airmen in the 931st ARG are currently deployed in support of overseas contingencies. Carrying Colorado's Communicators
Senior Airman Joseph Cordova boards a KC-135 Stratotanker that was flown by Reservists from the 931st Air Refueling Group from McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., to pick up Reservists at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. The tanker later delivered more than 20 Reservists from the 302nd Communications Flight at Peterson to Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Airman Cordova is a computer operator assigned to the flight.
